Here's a new hip-focused Vinyasa Flow and Restore class for you!
Eira was home from daycare last week, and we took the opportunity to film a new yoga class. As you'll see here, she very much enjoys ringing my meditation bell, climbing on my harmonium, and smelling the marigolds by my altar. She's a natural yogi, don't you think?
However, Eira did get distracted after we filmed the intro when she heard Daniel making a smoothie in the kitchen. So, for most of the practice, it's just me and this hip-focused flow.
Typically, when we think of a hip-focused yoga class, it's all about Pigeon Pose. But for many yoga students, this pose simply does not work for their pelvis, knees, or ankles. So, after leading us through a quick open flow, I offer my favorite Pigeon alternative here.
To practice along, you can watch directly on this page in the box below or follow this link to my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/o9GfdFoR4q8
You can also practice while listening to my "Hippie Flow" yoga playlist on Spotify here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1nReGDC3gUTqE0tiFOyqh8?si=35e4fb6ffc7e49a0 Press play at 2:11 or just after the introduction for some very vibey background noise.
And as always, please remember my yoga classes should never substitute for the guidance of any trained medical provider or mental health professional. Yoga comes with risks, including serious physical injuries, emotional damage, and spiritual crisis/awakening. Please practice at your own risk.
Enjoy, and please reach out with any requests for future classes!
